Subtle

Most girls insinuate themselves slowly.  They might move something to the back of the shelf, rearrange items here or there, or leave their toothbrush in the bathroom.

Not me.  I arrived at his door with my dog and her bed.  A little while later, I pointed out that the dog would be going home with me, but the bed should stay.  He was OK with that.

Wise words

I don't mean to diminish the tragedy that happened in Boston in any way.  It's horrible, and there is a lot wrong with the world.  Words like these, however, are what keep me sane.

The backup plan

She was sheared on Wednesday... lost about 3" of curls and seemingly half her body weight.

Then is started snowing.  We're supposed to get up to 25cm this weekend.

Pinterest made me do it.

I didn't love the last piece that I'd made, from dollar store materials.  It is true, but the saying is a little trite for me to have on display for any length of time.  So, I painted over it.

Ironically, I pinned this idea on Pinterest quite a while ago.  I'd forgotten about it, but then the owner of the site where the picture was originally posted asked Pinterest to remove it because they felt sharing the idea was copywriting.  Pinterest informed me that my pin had been removed, but gave me a screenshot of it that I could work from.

I didn't mean to...

I wasn't going to furnish the basement room (combination office and rec room) that is being built.  The plan is to outfit the room with only what I need to use the room as an office, and leave the remainder of the space empty for now.

I couldn't help myself this weekend, though.  This was both discontinued and on sale:

I think it'll make a great little table to set the tv on, if and when I ever get a second one.  And, it's purple.  I've been on a purple kick lately.

Luckily, Winter seems to approve.
