Spring has sprung

Spring has arrived.

It's +22C outside today. The breeze is blowing, the windows are open and all I want to do is to bask in the gorgeous sun. I don't think that there's anything better than the first really good day of spring.

Even better, look what showed up today: The first blooms of the season.

  1. That stuff behind the flower is that lambs ears? I love lambs ear, it grows anywhere and is black thumb friendly.

  2. Yes, it is lambs ears. I planted it solely because of the feel of the leaves... I didn't know at the time how large it grows, or that it will eventually bloom. It's been a good surprise.

  3. What pretty flowers! Our bluebonnets peaked a week or so ago. There are still plenty around though. I love them!

  4. Oooh pretty!

I haven't started anything yet. I have a couple of flowers left alive from last year but we have so many wild animals that eat everything. I had a two foot butterfly bush just disappear one day.

So my goal for this spring/summer is to brighten up my yard! (and find ways to keep the critters out!)
