Suck it up, Buttercup

There are two very different responses to what I'm about to say.  One will come from the Canadians, and the other will come from the Americans.  You know which is which.

It's -10C outside tonight, with a -17C windchill.    I walk (carry) my dogs every night, regardless of the weather, but tonight I really don't want to go.  I want to stay home tonight.  In fact, I want to stay home until spring arrives.

  1. I don't know what that means in Farenheit. (I can't even spell Farenheit correctly). But if it makes you feel any better, it was minus 6 degrees here in Denver a few days ago.

  2. We aren't terribly cold here, it was 40 here yesterday but a flurry of snow expected today and 38. I don't know how your temp converts but I am thinking it is dang cold. And I want Spring to come today! Hope you are putting something over those ears while you carry/walk the Pups!

  3. The Zadge definitely wins this one. -6F is about -21C. Yuck.

The truth is, the subject line of this post says it all. I never like the idea of the cold. I grumble and I whine about having to go out and walk the dogs every night, but I rarely (if ever) am unhappy once I get out there. It's not all that cold out yet, and even when it is, cold isn't bad if you dress appropriately. Last night actually turned out to be a great walk - I went further than usual and admired all the Christmas lights.

  4. -8C this morning! I love the cold, especially when the woods are frozen and still.
Well, I like it until we hit -31c with the windchill. Then I find it moderately annoying.
